DRBD covered in German Linux tech mag

August 10, 2007

If you speak German and are interested in DRBD and High Availability, this month’s Linux Technical Review issue is for you. LTR is an offshoot of Linux-Magazin aimed directly at the information technology professional and packs a whopping 144 pages dedicated to a single technical topic.

Issue #04, covering high availability technology for Linux, hits the stores next Tuesday (August 14) and contains a 5-page article on DRBD. If your local store doesn’t have LTR in stock, you can apparently also order from here.

Note: Like just about everyone, the LTR guys sometimes misspell DRBD as “DRDB”. Forgive them. :-)

DRBD making the push for mainline Linux kernel

August 3, 2007

DRBD co-author Lars Ellenberg has recently submitted the DRBD kernel module to the linux-kernel mailing list, for possible inclusion of DRBD in mainline Linux. The announcement has created a healthy buzz not only on the list itself, but also on KernelTrap and various media outlets.

What this means is that, at this time, DRBD is undergoing the largest and most in-depth QA review since its inception. Huge thanks to everyone contributing, we love to hear your thoughts!
